Common Use

Sildenafil Citrate is the main component of Viagra Soft. It affects the response to sexual stimulation by enhancing smooth muscle relaxation through nitric oxide, which is released during sexual arousal. This relaxation increases blood flow to the penis, leading to an erection. It is used for treating erectile dysfunction (impotence) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension. Sildenafil Citrate may also be used for other purposes not listed.

Dosage and Direction

Keep a tablet under your tongue until it dissolves, usually taken 15-20 minutes before sexual activity. Do not take Viagra Soft more than once a day. A high-fat meal may delay its effect. Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice during treatment.

Precautions

Before taking Sildenafil Citrate, inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it or have any other allergies. Older adults may be more sensitive to side effects.

Contraindications

Viagra Soft is taken as needed, so a dosing schedule is unlikely.

Overdose

If you suspect an overdose, seek emergency medical attention immediately. Symptoms may include chest pain, nausea, irregular heartbeat, and light-headedness or fainting.

Storage

Store medicines at room temperature between 68-77 degrees F (20-25 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep all drugs out of reach of children and pets.
